Ben Mauro is the lead guitarist and vocalist in the Lionel Richie Band. He has been travelling the world and performing concerts with Lionel since 1999. He also has worked with Lionel in the studio including playing on Lionel’s new release “Coming Home." Ben uses Hercules guitar stands GS405B and GS414B.

“Hercules stands really work great. They are easily the best built stands that I have ever tried. My favorite Hercules stand is the GS405B because it can travel everywhere with me and it can really take a beating in the clubs and it always stays strong. I also use the GS414B stands in my studio because they adjust so easily to fit any kind of guitar.”

Originally from Syracuse, New York Ben grew up with a love of Southern Rock music and also studied Classical and Jazz music with local private teachers. But he says his real music education came from playing the Funk and R&B clubs of New York City where he lived and worked for many years. After getting the gig with Lionel Ben moved to LA where he began working for a long list of artists doing tours and sessions including: Britney Spears (Onyx Hotel Tour), Kelly Clarkson (American Idol Tour), Prince, Anastacia in Japan, Nelly Furtado (Latin Music Awards), R&B star Stephanie Mills, and guitar legend Peter Frampton. Look for Ben on tour with Lionel this fall in the US and early 2007 in Europe.
