Daisuke Minamizawa 南澤 大介

Daisuke Minamizawa is a composer and arranger for acoustic guitar and keyboard. His “Melodies of Solo Guitar” featuring rock and pop classics has sold over 350,000 copies in Japan and continues to be one of the best selling music scores.

Born in Osaka, Japan on December 3, 1966, Daisuke started to play guitar and sing when he was in high school. He focused his musical efforts on the solo guitar style. He was influenced by Windham Hill label guitarists like Michael Hedges and William Ackerman.

In 1992, he professionally debuted as a guitarist with the TV drama "Ai to iunano motoni" Soundtrack (Music: Hinata Toshihumi). He is an active composer and arranger for planetarium programs, animation, games, theatrical plays and TV program soundtracks.  His recent work includes NHK Educational TV "Shirabete Go!" (composer), Fuji TV "Buzzer Beat" (guitar)
