Dayve center stage with the Al Green Band

Dayve Stewart is referred to as "the Soul Man." This title reflects his emotional and energetic performance style and his musical selections which display his early roots of gospel and contemporary (funky) love of jazz and which compliment his other musical forms. As a native Floridian, Dayve represents the great diversity of music for which Florida is noted.

Dayve captivated the heart of fans all around America with his outstanding solo performance in the musical theatrical production "I Can't Stop Lovin You," dedicated to Grammy Award Winner the late Mr. Ray Charles, which began in September of 2006 and ending in April of 2007. Mr. Stewart, is now presently on tour, with the legendary Al Green. The tour will be held in North America, South America and the United Kingdom.

Dayve was one of the three saxophone players in nation selected to attend Vail Jazz Camp in Colorado, performing along with David "Fathead" Newman, Wycliffe Gordon and Eric Reed. From national jazz festival performances to as far away as Japan, David has impressed audiences and musicians alike with his soul-moving renditions of both contemporary and nostalgic blues numbers.

Dayve started his group, Dayve Stewart and The Vibe, in the summer of 2005 before recording his debut album. This album, titled "Feel Me," gave a new groove sound to the world. Dayve's diverse Cuban and Jamaican background provides him with a unique yet cosmopolitan style. Aside from playing with his band, he performs with various groups such as Digginindreamland (Jacksonville show band), Complete Desire (Atlanta show band), and Splash (California show band). Dayve is a dynamic and diverse performer. In the summer of 2003 Dayve was a featured performer for ESPN weekend at Disney World and Magic Kingdom.
