Hercules Cares – Committed to the Environment
July 2011
July, 2011 - As a leading brand for instrument
stands, HERCULES doesn’t just build high
quality stands. HERCULES cares, not only about the health of musicians and their
instruments, but also about the entire planet. Since 2005 HERCULES has been using
more toxic-free and eco-friendly materials as our contribution to the safety of future
generations. HERCULES has also reformulated product development to incorporate environmental
protection procedures and techniques.
With a strong line of eco-friendly instrument stands, HERCULES has received certification
from many leading regulators. In 2009, HERCULES passed the California Air
Resources Board (CARB), the American regulation controlling exposure to
toxic air contaminants. HERCULES stands also met the European Union’s Restriction
of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) that restricts the use of six hazardous
substances: Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), Polybrominated
biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). HERCULES also passed the
stricter standards set by the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation,
Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH), that restricts
36 chemical substances to protect human health and the environment. Additionally,
HERCULES stands meet the accepted levels of the American Consumer Product
Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).
This is just the beginning. HERCULES will take further actions to protect the global
environment such as recycling and reusing waste, saving water with renewable energy
and reducing CO2 emissions. Our commitment to sustainably making quality products
is stronger than ever.
Still the same great black and yellow HERCULES stands – now with a touch
of ‘Green’!
