Hercules GS402B mini stand review by UK's What Guitar?

July 2003

This has to be the smallest stand yet. It folds away into a space about the size of a couple of effects pedals and comes complete with a carry bag. It's obviously ideal when space is at a premium, but is strictly for electrics and thinner-bodied acoustics like the Yamaha APX series. The guitar just sits in it with its back supported by a foam pad, but the three-pronged heavy-duty horizontal base means that the stand is very difficult to top over. UK's What Guitar? review of the Hercules GS414B guitar stand

July 2003

This stand has a unique and practical mechanism that's a fantastic feature. You just stick you guitar headstock into its U bracket; the weight causes the bracket to move down, and a pair of retaining arms spring across to the horizontal like a yoke to keep it there. When you want the guitar, it's simply a matter of lifting it slightly for the arms to move back down to the vertical. If that wasn't enough, it's also solidly built with tripod legs that spread widely to ensure stability. For more information on the GS414B, click here.
